Agreement to These Terms

These Terms of Use govern your use of Talks on Walks, including the mobile app, website, subscription features, conversation prompts, walk tracking, memory tools, and related services.

By using Talks on Walks, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

Talks on Walks is provided by Forthright Foundry, LLC.

Apple Terms

If you download Talks on Walks through the Apple App Store, your use of the app is also governed by Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement.

These Terms supplement Apple’s Standard EULA. If these Terms conflict with Apple’s Standard EULA for App Store distribution, Apple’s Standard EULA will control where required.

What Talks on Walks Is

Talks on Walks helps people build stronger relationships through intentional walks, meaningful conversation prompts, simple walk tracking, goals, photos, and memory notes.

The app is designed to support connection, reflection, movement, and memory-making.

Talks on Walks is not a medical app, therapy app, safety app, navigation app, or emergency service.

Your Responsibility While Walking

You are responsible for your own safety while using Talks on Walks.

Please:

Pay attention to your surroundings.
Follow local laws and trail rules.
Supervise children and pets.
Avoid using the app in unsafe situations.
Do not rely on the app for emergency, medical, or navigation purposes.

Walk tracking, distance, time, and location information are estimates and may not always be perfectly accurate.

Subscriptions and Premium Access

Talks on Walks may offer Premium access through auto-renewable subscriptions.

Premium access may include features such as expanded conversation prompts, saved memories, goals, walk history, photo features, and other current or future Premium features.

Subscription options may include monthly and annual plans.

Payments are processed through Apple using your Apple ID. Forthright Foundry, LLC does not collect or store your payment card information.

Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.

You can manage or cancel your subscription through your Apple ID account settings.

Refund requests are handled by Apple according to Apple’s policies.

Subscription pricing, availability, free trials, introductory offers, and features may change over time.

Complimentary or Invitation Access

Talks on Walks may offer invitation codes or complimentary Premium access to reviewers, partners, friends, influencers, or other selected users.

Complimentary access:

Has no cash value.
May not be sold or transferred.
May expire or be revoked.
Does not create a permanent right to Premium access.

RevenueCat is used to manage Premium entitlement status. Premium access is granted only when the Premium entitlement is active.

Local Data and User Content

Talks on Walks is currently designed as a local-first app.

Depending on how you use the app, you may create or store:

Walking partners and groups
Walk history
Walk duration and distance
Approximate location context
Conversation topics
Goals
Photos
Memory notes
App preferences

You are responsible for the content you add to the app.

Please do not save anything you would not want stored on your device or included in your device backups.

If you delete the app, clear app data, switch devices, or change builds, locally stored information may be lost unless backup, export, or sync features are later added.

Photos and Memories

Talks on Walks allows you to save optional photos and written memories from walks.

You are responsible for making sure you have the right to save, use, or share any photo or note you add.

If you save a photo to your camera roll or share a walk, that content may also be handled by your device, operating system, sharing destination, or third-party services outside of Talks on Walks.

Privacy

Your use of Talks on Walks is also governed by our Privacy Policy.

The Privacy Policy explains what information the app handles, how it is used, and what choices you have.

Third-Party Services

Talks on Walks may use third-party services to support app functionality, including services for subscriptions, entitlement management, app distribution, device permissions, support workflows, and related infrastructure.

These services may include Apple, RevenueCat, Supabase, Expo, and device operating system services.

Your use of those services may also be subject to their own terms and privacy policies.

Health and Wellness Disclaimer

Talks on Walks may encourage walking, reflection, habit-building, and meaningful conversations.

The app does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, therapy, counseling, or professional health guidance.

Before beginning any new physical activity, especially if you have health concerns, consult a qualified medical professional.

Children and Family Use

Talks on Walks may be used by parents, guardians, families, and adults walking with children.

Adults are responsible for deciding whether prompts, conversations, saved notes, photos, and walking activity are appropriate for the children in their care.

The app is not intended to replace parental judgment, supervision, or responsibility.

Intellectual Property

Talks on Walks, including the app design, branding, logos, prompts, written content, visual style, and related materials, is owned by Forthright Foundry, LLC or its licensors.

You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, sell, or create derivative works from Talks on Walks content without permission, except as allowed by law or normal personal use of the app.

Feedback

If you send us ideas, suggestions, bug reports, or feedback, you allow us to use that feedback to improve Talks on Walks without compensation or obligation.

Changes to the App

We may update, modify, add, or remove features from Talks on Walks at any time.

We may also suspend or discontinue parts of the app if needed for technical, business, legal, or operational reasons.

Termination

We may suspend or restrict access to Talks on Walks if we believe a user has violated these Terms, misused the app, attempted to bypass subscription systems, abused invitation codes, or used the app unlawfully.

Disclaimers

Talks on Walks is provided “as is” and “as available.”

We do not guarantee that the app will always be uninterrupted, error-free, accurate, secure, or available.

We do not guarantee that walk tracking, distance, location, subscription status, saved memories, or other app features will always work perfectly.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Forthright Foundry, LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of Talks on Walks.

This includes, but is not limited to, lost data, lost memories, inaccurate walk tracking, subscription issues, device problems, or third-party service interruptions.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time.

When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date above.

Your continued use of Talks on Walks after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.
